Lego 3-in-1
LEGO Creator 3 in1 Sunken Treasure Mission
When our son was first introduced to Lego, he had a big bin full of different sizes and colors. Yes, he did build some things, but it wasn't to the level of creativity we expected. We just assumed that Lego may not be one of the toys he preferred. He received a gift that was Lego 3-in-1 set. After receiving the Lego 3-in-1 set, we noticed that our son was playing with all of his Lego regularly and was being very creative. So we asked him what was the difference between the Lego before and the new Lego 3-in-1 set? He told us that the Lego 3-in-1 set taught him to build one of his ideas at a time whereas with the old Lego, he thought he had to build all of his ideas simultaneously, which was confusing. Now we'll be forever stepping on Lego for the rest of our lives.

Marbles!
122Pcs Marble Run Building Blocks
Our son enjoys playing with marbles. When he's in a creative building mindset, anything to do with marbles is his go-to. His favorite part of playing with marble runs is being able to rebuild different marble courses and seeing how each build operates differently. Unlike other interactive building-based toys, we found that our son wouldn't get overly frustrated if one of his builds didn't function properly. The marble run sets helped encourage our son to use and develop his problem-solving skills.

Build and Rebuild
Our son started to get curious about electronics and how they functioned. He was so interested that he would take apart finger lights, flashlights, remotes and other small electronics. We came across a few toy sets that would allow him to build a toy, take it apart and rebuild it. The Elenco Teach Tech Mech-5 allowed him to build 5 different robots while learning mechanical coding. These toy sets redirect our son's curiosity impulse to an interactive toy rather than our home electronics.
